About My Clients
I work with individuals, teens, and families ready to navigate the weight of trauma and life’s big transitions. My ideal clients are those seeking a transformative journey not just "talk therapy." Whether you’re an adolescent finding your voice, a couple struggling to connect, or a man navigating unique life challenges, I provide a safe, empowering space. I specialize in helping the BIPOC community find healing and strength through culturally sensitive, personalized care.
My Background and Approach
As a dually licensed Professional and Chemical Dependency Counselor (LPC-S, LCDC), I bring a holistic perspective to your healing. Since founding The Mind and Therapy Clinic in 2020, I’ve focused on rejuvenating individuals and families impacted by trauma. My approach isn't one-size-fits-all. I combine evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to help you reshape thought patterns and behaviors. For you, this means a personalized plan designed for lasting change, not just temporary relief. Whether we’re building adolescent resilience or restoring family harmony, my goal is to give you tools you can use for a lifetime. As an LPC-Supervisor, I’m also deeply committed to the growth of our profession, ensuring our clinic stays at the forefront of trauma-informed care. You deserve a therapist who sees the whole person mind, body, and spirit and I’m here to guide that discovery.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe a healthy community starts with a healthy mind. As the owner of a former certified HUB Business in Texas, I am personally committed to social equity and providing high-quality care to the BIPOC community. My values are rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity for triumph, regardless of their past. I stand for empowering marginalized voices and breaking the stigma around mental health in our neighborhoods. When I’m not seeing clients, I’m usually speaking on mental health advocacy or mentoring the next generation of graduate interns. My work is driven by the mission to build healthy minds one person at a time. I value authenticity, a bit of humor, and radical empathy in the healing process. If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, I’m ready to walk that path with you.
