About My Clients
My clients are typically adult, female identifying individuals, LGBTQ+ folks, and POC who have experienced trauma, reproductive/infertility/loss, LGBTQ+ specific experiences, and female specific issues. I enjoy working with clients who can be honest, be challenged, and are motivated for change and improvement.
My Background and Approach
I use evidence-based practices with an empowering, strengths-based approach. I love working with clients on creating healthy boundaries, how to be true to yourself, and teaching techniques that can help manage anxiety- all in a comfortable, non-judgmental space. I provide my clients active listening, call out any maladaptive patterns, and will challenge you to look at things from different perspectives. I like to meet my clients where they are and help you to figure out how to live your best life. I am not here to tell you what you're thinking/feeling as the therapist-client relationship should be a collaborative experience. My goal is to help you learn to live your most authentic life and figure out what that looks like.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in diversity and inclusion and celebrating who you are. I am a member of the LGBTQ-munity, a daughter of immigrants from Mexico, and I understand the experience of assimilation and color/culture erasure in the United States. I also have personal experiences with fertility/reproductive issues. These aspects of my life help me to truly connect and understand my clients to be a better therapist.
