About My Clients
I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship and parenting concerns, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and family conflict. I also support youth and families involved in foster care. I especially welcome clients seeking a culturally responsive space where they can feel understood, build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I am a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and approximately five years of experience. I provide telehealth counseling to clients in Georgia, Ohio, and Indiana. My approach is warm, collaborative, empowering, and solution-oriented. I use evidence-based practices including CBT, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, strengths-based interventions, mindfulness, and play-based approaches when appropriate. As a Black woman with a Caribbean background, I value culturally responsive care and consider the ways culture, family, identity, and life experiences influence healing. My goal is to help clients build coping skills, improve communication, strengthen relationships, increase resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves a supportive, respectful space to be heard without judgment. I value compassion, growth, resilience, family, community, and cultural understanding. My work is grounded in the belief that people can learn from difficult experiences, recognize their strengths, and create healthier patterns while still honoring who they are and where they come from.
