About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I approach therapy as a partnership between you, the client, and myself. I specialize in trauma & complex mental health such as OCD & other mood disturbances. As a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional I have undergone a variety of trauma-focused trainings such as EMDR, CPT, and IFS. I am enrolled in a Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) training & am a doctorate student furthering my expertise. I'm passionate about my role as a therapist & remain engaged in continued education & personal learning to be the best for my clients. I also specialize in military/veteran issues offering free therapy sessions to this population. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm believer in giving back & putting as much good as I can into the world. I treat all people with compassion & kindness & appreciate & embrace the uniqueness of each client. I also embrace the teaching that my clients provide to me each day. I will not pretend to know or understanding something I do not. I am also known for my work as a volunteer with organizations such as Acadiana Veteran Alliance & The American Red Cross, & our local Counseling Association. I am the owner of Clarté Counseling, LLC which partners with various non-profits & events such as Acadiana Pride Group & RescYOU Group. I enjoy providing continued education to other mental health professionals on important topics such as trauma & military/veteran issues.
