About My Clients

You're managing everything on the outside while running on empty inside. You overthink, hold yourself to impossible standards, and can't quiet your mind. Not in crisis — just stuck in patterns you can't break alone. My patients are adults who want to understand what's driving their struggles and build real skills to change it. I have a particular focus on men navigating burnout, identity, and purpose, though I work with any adult ready to do the real work.

My Background and Approach

My background spans family medicine, acute inpatient psychiatric care, PHP and IOP groups, and individual outpatient therapy. That breadth means I can assess where you actually are and where the real work needs to start — not where it looks like it should start on paper. I hold a Master of Psychology from the University of Dallas and a CBT-C certification through Evergreen Certifications. My work draws from CBT, REBT, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Stoic philosophy. Sessions are structured. You will leave most appointments with something concrete to work on, because real change happens between sessions, not just during them. I will challenge the patterns keeping you stuck, directly and without apology. This is collaborative, not passive. My Catholic faith informs how I think about meaning, responsibility, and human flourishing. This is not faith based counseling and no shared faith is required.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a practicing Catholic, and my faith is not incidental to how I do this work. It shapes how I understand suffering, responsibility, and what it means to live well. I do not impose this on patients, and no shared faith is required to work with me. But if faith matters to you, you will not have to spend energy explaining why it does. I am drawn to Stoic philosophy both as a personal practice and as a clinical lens. The idea that most suffering comes from within, and that we have more agency over our inner lives than we tend to believe, comes up regularly in the work. Outside of sessions, I hike and backpack, read history and philosophy, stay physically active, and spend genuine time gaming. I have a particular bias toward high quality RPGs especially the kind that reward patience, investment in story, and actually paying attention.
