About My Clients
I work with adults navigating shame, identity, and the long-term effects of trauma — especially those who feel unseen or misunderstood by traditional therapy. My clients often include LGBTQIA+ individuals, people healing from religious or cultural shame, and anyone ready to understand their nervous system and reclaim a sense of dignity. You don't need to have it figured out to begin. Curiosity is enough.
My Background and Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, psychoeducational, and dignity-centered. I draw on somatic and nervous system frameworks to help clients understand why they feel and respond the way they do — not as a flaw, but as adaptation. Together we build awareness and, over time, new patterns. I specialize in shame and identity recovery, LGBTQIA+-affirming care, and helping people make sense of their inner experience in ways that actually stick. Sessions are grounded, practical, and free of judgment. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest — about who they are and what they've been through.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves care that honors the fullness of who they are. Therapy should never require you to shrink, perform, or explain away your identity. The nervous system isn't broken — it learned. And what it learned, it can unlearn. My work is rooted in the conviction that dignity is not earned; it's inherent. Pozitive Approach Counseling and Consultation Services was built to be a place where that truth is lived, not just spoken.
