About My Clients
Choosing the right therapist is hard, so let me give you some background on what differentiates me from other therapists. I’ve been in practice for 13 years, and in addition to the standard license I have training in Jungian Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dream Analysis, & Hypnotherapy. These all overlap in that healing & resolution is found by exploring the inner workings of your psyche. This is popularly referred to as parts work or depth therapy.
My Background and Approach
I emphasize the mind-body connection, as our issues often manifest as tension or pain in the core of the body, stomach, abdomen, lower back, upper torso, chest & shoulders. When we experience trauma - memories, thoughts, emotions, & physical sensations naturally become fragmented making the healing process convoluted and nonlinear. Together we'll identify & work with these "parts," which represent various emotions, beliefs, & behaviors. This helps alleviate inner conflict & provides relief of both emotional & physical symptoms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The approach I take to therapy is very intentional. I've worked with so many clients who truly believed healing was unavailable to them. Treatment resistant issues like PTSD, OCD, Eating Disorders, chronic depression & anxiety, & personality disorders are all issues I regularly help people with.
