About My Clients
I work with adults and adolescents in individual, family or couples sessions in order to address presenting symptoms through processing and understanding trauma, neurodiversity, and the relationships around us. My clients are motivated for treatment, but may not have had luck with therapy in the past.
My Background and Approach
PTSD/cPTSD and autism specialist trained in EMDR, IFS, ACT and DBT. I work with many clients that have complex symptom presentations that have made finding understanding and relief difficult. I help to understand how different biological and environmental factors can overlap to better work with our nervous system instead of against it. I believe we adapt as best we can to trauma and the lives we're given and those adaptations, though sometimes inconvenient, should be shown compassion for what they've allowed us to survive. From that foundation we can work together to get where you're trying to go. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level Two (CCTP-II) and Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS). I am also specially trained in EMDR, DBT, internal family systems (IFS), and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), all of which are effective in trauma treatment. I utilize all tools available to help connect with ourselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand that trauma affects all of us differently and can change us in ways that affect us for life. I struggled for years, myself, until I got help. I want to be that lifeline for others.
