About My Clients
An ideal client is committed to change and wanting to do the work to change negative/maladaptive behavior. In session, you can expect to : clarify and prioritize problems, a space where you can feel your feelings, where you can be you, and most importantly develop self-awareness and emotional intelligence. p.s. I do give homework but it's fun and helpful-I promise.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated in 2017 with my Masters in Social Work and I have worked in various clinical settings since then. Therapy is my passion and I strive to help people work out whatever it is they're struggling with from a place of non-judgement, acceptance, and positive regard. My approach is empowering, solution-focused, and evidence-based. Treatment areas include: stress, depression, anxiety, crisis, relationships, self-esteem, faith, & coping skills.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
People say I am easy to talk to and that's because I am real, like a friend who encourages you but isn't afraid to challenge you when necessary. You know yourself best and only you can tell your story. I am there to listen, support and help reframe negative ways of thinking and of seeing yourself. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based however, together we will figure out what works best. Approaches are important yes, but most important is that you and I form a strong connection.
