About My Clients

I work best with adults navigating life transitions, relationship issues, HIV-related concerns, anxiety, and identity exploration. My clients are often LGBTQ+ and value a warm, collaborative space to explore both present challenges and deeper emotional patterns. I use a blend of psychodynamic therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to support insight, resilience, and meaningful change—always tailoring my approach to each person’s unique needs.

My Background and Approach

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 5+ years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges. I specialize in working with clients navigating HIV-related issues, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, identity exploration, and life transitions. I offer LGBTQ+ affirming care rooted in warmth, empathy, and collaboration. My approach is client-centered and integrates psychodynamic theory, CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences shape current struggles, develop tools to manage stress and anxiety, and build on your strengths to foster lasting change. I tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs—whether you’re seeking insight, clarity, or emotional support. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and empowered to live more fully and authentically.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a queer clinician, I’m deeply committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals and others whose identities have been marginalized. I believe in the power of community, authenticity, and healing through connection. I support movements for racial, gender, and economic justice, including Black Lives Matter and trans rights. Outside of therapy, I’ve volunteered with harm reduction organizations and community-based HIV support services. I believe mental health care should be accessible, anti-oppressive, and rooted in empathy. I bring these values into the therapy room, honoring each person’s unique story while holding space for both joy and pain.
