My speciality is working with young adults. If you are having difficulty Focusing and concentrating on tasks and goals? In college? At home? Going through a difficult time right now- whether it is with yourself, or in your relationship? You’ve reached a point where you can no longer carry stress all by yourself? Have you tried several different things to help you and nothing has worked? You find yourself overthinking and overanalyzing your thoughts?
My Background and Approach
Feel comfortable knowing you are seeing a therapist with 15 years experience and provides a safe environment for change. My professional approach to therapy is eclectic. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered, motivational interviewing, humanistic and positive psychology. My personal approach to therapy is: I am a "Keep it real" type of therapist and have a laid back demeanor. I've been told throughout the years I am easy to talk to. Therapy can be scary, so here's what you can expect: I will always be honest and transparent. I am empathetic and compassionate. I use humor in an effective and responsible way! Lastly, I do not believe in the "one shoe fits all" mentality and as we take this journey together, you will learn, I am anything but a traditionalist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way.
