My number 1 passion is working with people who have had trauma in their life through the following modalities, Cognitive Processing Theory (CPT), Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

I have a vast training in Veterans issues. This population displays honor and service to the country and all of us. Through the training I have learned the skills necessary to interact and treat this population, even the trauma portion through CPT.

I have extensive training in Military competencies and culture to provide competent service delivery to our heroes in uniform and those no longer serving. I am a Level-2 trauma therapist with training in CPT and EMDR.

I treat many individuals dealing with anxiety and depression of all types through DBT and EMDR practices. These 2 areas cross-over and are part of many diagnoses that I treat in my practice.

I am a Level 2 - Certified Complex Trauma Professional who uses DBT, CPT, and EMDR with my clients diagnosed with PTSD to achieve maximum outcomes by reducing the stress caused by flashbacks and thoughts of the events. I focus on the reaction to the triggers and reduce their Subjective Units of Distress Levels only to then re[lace with more rational thoughts.

Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help you process and release traumatic memories. It reduces the reliving of the trauma experience to help reduce the likelihood of further harm or distress. In addition it is estimated that 4 CBT sessions are equivalent to 1 session of EMDR.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is one of the most widely used therapeutic treatments. Unlike traditional forms of therapy that take time to analyze problems, pathology, and past life events, SFBT concentrates on finding solutions in the present and exploring one’s hope for the future in order to find a quick and lasting resolution of one’s problems. I will help you explore solutions through the resources you already have.

These areas are Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. The theory has a large base of coping skills allowing for one to ultimately transform into their own therapist.
