About My Clients
EXPERIENCE EMOTIONAL INTIMACY Improve your relationships by understanding your NEGATIVE CYCLES and getting to the UNDERLYING CAUSES for it. I help couples & individuals who want to learn how to effectively share and receive each other’s deeper emotions in order to create emotional intimacy, safety, and security. You will learn strategies to respond differently and avoid slipping into old negative cycles of criticism, questioning, defensiveness, shutting-down, and avoidance. Call Today!
My Background and Approach
Your dynamic is being driven by vulnerable and deep emotions. Those deep emotions are sensitive ‘raw spots' that are easily provoked and can cause you intolerable emotional discomfort- and leads to a “fight-or-flight” (anxious, angry, avoidant) response. This starts a negative cycle that creates more distance between you. IT CAN CHANGE! I’ve helped hundreds of clients experience EMOTIONAL INTIMACY by learning how to effectively share and receive each other’s deeper emotions. Your partner will become your ALLY instead of your ENEMY! I also have found that a combination of the following techniques leads to the best results: Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) The use of these modalities can guide you towards lasting results and the confidence to manage new changes in yourself without my assistance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
If you have already perused through my website, you may be able to tell that I am a passionate person! Particularly, about finding the strengths in others and helping cultivate their inner goodness to change themselves and their relationships. When we meet, you’ll first notice my easy-going relatable personality as well as my sense of humor. As a therapist, I feel blessed to have these qualities that help hasten my clients readiness and comfort to engage in therapy. As we work together, you will notice my additional knack for discovering links and patterns. I can help you zero-in on common features from your past and present and weave together a tapestry that offers valuable insight into yourself and your relationships. (I like to quip that when I’m not in my office caring for my “outpatient” caseload, I’m at home with my wife caring for our “inpatient” caseload, namely, our four energetic and fun boys.)
