About My Clients
I work with adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, aging-related concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I especially value helping people who feel disconnected, exhausted, uncertain, or stuck in today’s fast-paced, post-COVID world. My approach is supportive, compassionate, and focused on helping clients feel understood while building resilience, clarity, and meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
My experiential background is related to over 40 years in health care. My approach to therapy is integrative, that is, each patient or client requires their own needed special attention and solutions. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches such as humanistic, psychodynamic, and CBT therapies to tailor treatment to all your needs. What matters most to me as a therapist is creating a space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, and I value building a trusting relationship where healing, growth, and meaningful change can occur. I also have a special appreciation for the emotional challenges that can come with aging, relationships, and life transitions. Therapy is not only for times of crisis—it can also help bring clarity, balance, resilience, and a renewed sense of connection and purpose in everyday life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life after COVID has left many people feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply not like themselves. I’ve seen this across all stages of life—from adolescents and young adults struggling with pressure and uncertainty, to couples feeling strained, to older adults facing changes that can feel confusing or isolating. In a world where we are constantly connected and absorbing information, it’s understandable that so many people are struggling emotionally in ways they never expected. As such, embracing all issues that comprise mental health has opened for me a greater desire to help those in need with a almost a sense of urgency. Over my lifespan I have observed and experienced many people being able to help manage their own lives more comfortably and purposively after their experiences with therapy.
