About My Clients
If your mind is always active—ruminating, worrying, replaying choices, or feeling big emotions—you may feel exhausted by your own thoughts. Maybe setting boundaries, saying no, or disappointing someone feels scary. If you’ve been in therapy and felt judged or unsafe, I may feel different. My goal is to help you feel seen, welcome, and safe. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, fears, and past experiences to better understand what they’re telling you and why they’re there.
My Background and Approach
I use talk therapy to help us slow down and get curious about what’s happening inside of you. Your thoughts, feelings, fears, and reactions are giving us information. Sometimes they’re helping you, and sometimes they started as ways to protect you or get through hard things but aren’t helping as much anymore. We’ll figure that out together, without judging any of it. We may also look at how your family, relationships, religion, culture, and experiences have shaped the way you see yourself and the world. I’m not big on homework or worksheets. Most of our work happens in our conversations as we notice and make sense of what comes up. My hope is that therapy helps you trust yourself more, treat yourself with more kindness, feel safer and more at home in your body, and make more room for joy. I had an amazing therapist who helped me in a similar way, and I feel lucky to now do this work. I take it seriously because you’re more than a client to me. You’re a person I care about.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don’t believe you are a problem that needs to be fixed. I don’t believe anyone is inherently bad or flawed. I believe we become who we are because of what we’ve lived through, what we’ve learned, and the ways we’ve had to survive. Some of those survival patterns are easy to see, and some are much harder to recognize or understand. They may have once protected you, even if they are not helping you in the same way now. Part of our work together is slowly putting that puzzle together: understanding where those patterns came from, what they once did for you, and what you may no longer need to carry. I believe healing is not about becoming someone else. It is about seeing yourself more clearly, with more kindness and less shame, and slowly finding your way back to safety, joy, and feeling at home in your own body.
