About My Clients
I work with clients to explore how unresolved issues from the past impact the present. In an open and safe environment, we explore authentic feelings and lost aspects of self often censored in general society, toward greater personal insight, growth, and change. An accepting and validating therapy relationship can be a key element in the healing of old wounds.
My Background and Approach
An accepting and validating therapy relationship can be a key element in the healing of old wounds. I work within a multitude of treatment modalities, with a variety of clients. I use a mixture of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy. I have years of experience working with clients on issues ranging from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and sexual issues. I provide a safe environment that will allow us to delve deeper into patterns of the old coping skills that no longer serve you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that personal growth is an ongoing process. I believe young and old can learn from each other. I believe that learning that we are responsible for ourselves is an important life lesson to learn. I believe that kindness and genuine concern and empathy make an impact on the therapeutic relationship. I believe old stories that we tell ourselves based in shame are the root cause of many mental health issues. I would love to help you explore how to unravel that and tell a beautiful new story that is centered around confidence in yourself.
