Rhonda feels it is a deep honor to work with individuals, couples, and parents as they progress through new or recurring concerns with depression, anxiety, parenting, and life transitions. We have each experienced a unique set of life circumstances facing both joys and hardships along the way with our own individual set of talents and needs. Despite our strengths, we sometimes find ourselves facing issues that challenge us to the point of discomfort or even pain.
My Background and Approach
With a lifetime passion for learning and drawing from over 13 years of experience counseling people from diverse circumstances, each year Rhonda exceeds the licensing board required continued education that keeps her skills sharp and up to date. These tested treatment models include client centered counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapies (DBT), and relationship and couples counseling rooted in the research of the Gottman Institute and Relational Life Therapy. Rhonda raised a blended family and provided therapeutic foster care before earning a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 2007 followed by working to provide intensive in-home family therapy to support family preservation. Continuing trainings and experience have deepened her appreciation for working with couples, as well as individuals struggling with depression or anxiety. Rhonda also provides support for those undergoing ECT and other treatments.
