About My Clients

Anxiety and depression can cloud our judgment, closing us off from ourselves and others. We may feel paralyzed, unable to move forward with our goals, continually engaging in self-destructive patterns of thoughts and behavior. Perhaps you have achieved some goals, yet still feel empty and “not good enough.” Maybe you’re going through a major life transition, such as becoming a new parent, dealing with an illness, or grieving a loss. You don’t have to face it alone. It’s time to get support.

My Background and Approach

I can help you cope with difficult feelings and emotions, and bring compassion to your experience. I can help you connect with yourself and feel truly embodied. I work collaboratively with clients to increase their self-compassion, find meaning, build resiliency, gain insight, decrease suffering, and facilitate joy and growth. I am passionate about helping people find more spaciousness and ease in their life. My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, discrete and complex trauma, family of origin issues, relationships, life transitions, parenting, illness, grief, disordered eating, sexuality, giftedness, attachment issues, shame, body image, OCD, and the intersection of mental and physical health. I use evidence-based modalities, such as mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I am a certified yoga instructor, and have extensive training in mindfulness and mind-body techniques.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I welcome clients from all racial, cultural, religious, spiritual, and ethnic backgrounds, and am LGBTQ+ affirming. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the non-profit sector on health and mental health issues and then took a professional hiatus to have children (now adolescents). Born and raised in New York City, I moved to Atlanta in 2007, after having lived for years in California, Mexico, Guatemala, England, and Italy. In my free time, I love to do yoga, run, cook, eat, travel, hike, bike, and spend time with family and friends, including my dog Miele.
