My Background and Approach
I can provide you with an non-judgmental, positive and supportive therapeutic relationship built on earned trust. A safe place where we can explore together the issues that haunt you the most and provide the tools to help build back your confidence in yourself. Tools that you can carry with you throughout your days that will help ground you and build trust in your ability to successfully move through life. We will work together to target the symptoms that are impacting you the most to alleviate the added stress that plagues your days and attempt to explore and uncover the root causes of those symptoms. I believe that you are the expert in your own healing journey. My role is to support you, challenge you gently to move through the obstacles and ultimately learn to accept yourself for who you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life is not stagnant. Regardless of our experiences, we are always evolving, always changing, always transitioning to different versions of ourselves. At times, we stumble and encounter difficult times in our lives where we need a little more support, an unbias and empathetic partner who will not only witness these experiences with you but be present to live in that with you. As a trauma survivor myself, I understand the impacts that abuse and violation can have on one's trajectory in life. I know what it is like to struggle with identity as I attempted to navigate my own sexual identity and how to show up as a biracial American in a family that found a lot of who I am unacceptable. My community and chosen family are what pump fuel through my veins to always strive for positive moves forward.
