I received formal training through a 2 year program in health and well-being. The strategies and interventions I learned focused on increasing health and vitality related to chronic stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout. Additionally, my experiences for the past 20 + years have enabled me to apply theoretical knowledge with practical experiences in a variety of settings including healthcare, education, and administration.

My clinical practice has centered around adolescent health since 2009. Some of my specialized training includes trauma-focused CBT, mindfulness for teens, and the teenage brain. Additionally, I have practiced in both medical and educational systems working with teens which has provided a tremendous understanding of adolescent development and related mental health.

Coaching has been a part of my treatment intervention since 2014 after completing a 2 year formal program. As a result o this program, I learned how to incorporate strategies that increase a sense of satisfaction and well-being into the therapeutic process. Coaching is an essential part of each session and is designed to help draw out your purpose and meaning.

I realized early in my career that stress management was often overlooked and ignored in mental health. After completing all of my clinical training, I pursued and completed a 2 year program focused on sustainable well-being. I am able to share stress management tools with both adolescents and adults and find ways to adapt practices that lead to a sense of well-being and satisfaction in life.

I love working with teens AND the adults who support them! I have spent more than 20 years working with adolescents and their caregivers and still find myself caught up in awe and inspiration at times. Each session is designed to meet the teen where they are and I seek out understanding of their whole environment to provide them with services that will support them the most.

Therapists need their own therapists more than ever right now. You are showing up every day, witnessing for others, and giving your all; it is crucial to have your own space to share and process your own experiences. It is also an incredible process to ensure your own healing and development. I will always begin with a strength based approach and incorporate a variety of strategies to address stress management, compassion fatigue, trauma, anxiety, and other related experiences.

Therapists need their own therapists more than ever. You are showing up and staying present while witnessing for others every day and it is crucial that you have your own sacred space. Whether it's to work through specific presenting issue or to process a myriad of experiences, you deserve the same quality service you provide to decompress, process, nurture your sense of self, and heal.

Every session is centered around a trauma-informed lens and designed to help you deal with the psychological, emotional, and physical impact of trauma. Specific strategies from trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy may be utilized during session in addition to somatic strategies to help you feel connected both emotionally and physically.

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on emotions, thoughts, early life experiences, and beliefs. I utilize this approach to help identify patterns to help promote healing and growth. I help you understand the connections in your relationships and identify habits and routines that support your goals.
