With a focus on Family Systems Therapy, I assist black, mixed-race and interracial adoptive families in navigating relationships with empathy and understanding. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the importance of understanding ourselves within the context of the systems we inhabit. We are all born into various systems—our family structures, societal norms, and cultural frameworks—that can often be restrictive or harmful. My approach to therapy is centered around helping individuals reclaim their true selves, separate from these external influences. In therapy, I work to guide individuals back to their authentic selves, empowering them to navigate and transcend the societal systems that may have shaped their identities. It's crucial for mental health and well-being to establish a strong sense of self outside of these sometimes limiting structures. I am also committed to social justice and liberation work. I firmly believe that true freedom requires collective liberation; none of us are truly free until all of us are. I actively support movements that strive for equity and justice for marginalized communities.
