About My Clients
I have experience in helping clients (teens and adults) with stress, anxiety, chronic illnesses, midlife crisis, trauma, abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
My Background and Approach
I also have several years of experience in the following areas: grief/loss, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, conduct disorder and other areas. I have also worked with pregnant and parenting teens. Additionally, I have been a manager and counselor in the state of Illinois foster care/adoption system. The treatments I use include Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Trauma-Focused, and we will take time to processing the feelings around your situation. I like to involve my clients in creating solutions for the presenting issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I want each client to feel empowered and more confident. I want to be able to identify examples of their own healing and improvement at the end of the counseling journey.
