About My Clients
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, emotions like anxiety, depression, and anger can leave you feeling drained or lonely. You do not have to navigate those feelings by yourself. I work with clients from a non-judgmental, empathic, and compassionate approach. Providing a safe space where clients can feel supported. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families.
My Background and Approach
I believe that each person, couple, or family is unique, and I tailor each session to match the clients. I work with anxiety, depression, stress-related issues, translational issues, relationship issues, and PTSD. I see clients from 14 years and up. I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT # 132324) and received my Master's at Phillips Graduate Institution and I am trained in EMDR, and Brainspotting and certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). I trained at California Family Counseling Center (CalFam) where I worked with children, individuals, families, and couples. My approach comes from a Narrative perspective but I also incorporate Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Gottman, and Imago.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Latinx single mother, embracing and embodying Hispanic culture is a core value of mine, both personally and professionally. Having raised my children without the presence of a second parent; I have lived experience juggling work and parenting, all while endeavoring to maintain my identity, sense of self, and overall well-being.
