About My Clients
I love working with adults and couples that are no longer content with the way things are and are ready to explore meaningful change. Whether you're feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, or struggling with life, work, parenting, or relationships, we can work together to figure things out.
My Background and Approach
My clients describe me as warm, non-judgmental, and curious. I am not afraid to inject a little humor into the therapeutic process. I strike a balance between unconditional acceptance of who you are and making sure to appropriately challenge you to ensure growth and healing. I understand that life can be tough. But I also believe we all have the strength and resilience to get through the tough times, grow, and thrive. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a lawyer and investment banker. While I was successful in these fields, I eventually came to the realization that I wanted to pursue a more fulfilling line of work. This experience has taught me the importance of finding meaning and purpose in one's life and has given me the tools to help my clients do the same. In addition to my MA in Marriage and Family Counseling, I am currently in the dissertation year of my PhD in Clinical Sexology (human sexuality), which focuses on sexuality, intimacy, and connection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy through the lens of humor, warmth, and deep empathy. I value opportunities to make people laugh, which comes in handy when discussing difficult subject matter. I strive to create a judgment-free zone where my clients can explore their emotions and thoughts safely. My goal is to make clients feel empowered to confidently address the challenges in their lives and walk out of our sessions in “one piece” so they can get busy living their lives as they are meant to be.
