About My Clients
Many of my clients tend to struggle with anxiety, self-esteem, burnout, codependency, OCD, depression, and identity-related concerns. Clients I work with are often open-minded and curious about how their upbringings and past experiences have shaped them, want to gain insight and feel more empowered in their relationships and everyday choices, and/or identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Background and Approach
My primary focus is to support clients in addressing the practical (here-and-now) issues so that we can explore their roots together (e.g., trauma, attachment wounds, identity). Practices that are central to my approach include reflecting on your values and priorities, understanding the individual and systemic barriers that impact you and your choices, practicing self-compassion, learning mindfulness and acceptance-based skills, and regaining a sense of autonomy so that you can get back to living your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that forming a strong client-therapist relationship is at the heart of making change, so I am intentional about bringing my authentic self, sense of humor, and creativity to sessions. I primarily integrate practices from ACT, CBT, ERP, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy into my approach. Please reach out if you think we'd be a good fit!
