About My Clients
If you're a parent seeking lasting change for your child, you've come to the right place. I take a holistic relational approach to childhood challenges including Anxiety, Fears/worries, ADHD, regulation difficulties, attachment, childhood trauma, big changes, family conflict, neurodevelopmental differences and Sensory Processing Disorder. With me, parents find compassionate care with concrete brain-based strategies for connecting with their children and accepting themselves as parents!
My Background and Approach
I integrate developmental neuroscience, play therapy and family systems work with evidence-based approaches like CBT, child-centered play therapy and narrative and expressive arts. With me, you'll receive quality, comprehensive assessment and care from a nurturing, brain-based perspective!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a highly specialized child therapy expert, because partnering with parents and children brings me deep joy. I celebrate neurodiversity and I see myself as a guide rather than someone who "knows it all!" I'm honored by each client who joins me in working through tough topics with the intention to come out feeling empowered, confident, and in touch with themselves and their child. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2013. Before that, I earned a B.A. in English, with an emphasis on Creative Writing. I still write, and my first love is fictional short stories! My love for the complexity of stories is what lead me to a profession where I get to engage with human stories of resilience, struggle, love and creativity every day!
