About My Clients
Do you feel like your mind understands your pain, but your body still holds onto it? Maybe you’ve experienced trauma, chronic illness, or emotional invalidation that left you feeling fragmented, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You might notice certain reactions or sensations that feel out of your control. Maybe parts of you are still living in survival mode, even when things seem “fine” on the surface. If this resonates, you’re not alone.
My Background and Approach
I help clients heal from complex trauma, chronic stress, and illness by working with the body and inner parts of self. We explore nervous system patterns and protective parts with curiosity and care, especially for those who are self-aware, have examined their patterns, but still feel stuck. Insight alone isn’t always enough, but deeper healing is possible. As a social worker, I deeply value understanding you within the context of your environment. Our internal experiences are inseparable from our relationships, communities, and the systemic structures that shape our lives. All of these layers influence our wellbeing and deserve thoughtful exploration and attention.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach is affirming, non-pathologizing and rooted in anti-oppressive principles. While I have trainings and gravitate towards certain approaches, I recognize YOU as the expert of your experience. There is no right way to do therapy. To tailor therapy to you, I believe our collaboration is integral. I welcome ALL parts of you into the therapy space. You can show up however you want and need. I believe there are no bad parts or emotions. Everything will be at your pace, focused on what feels most helpful to you. I recognize my power and privilege in the room and would like to name that here. Many western approaches to care are rooted in colonial, white supremacist frameworks. These frameworks have pathologized non-Western ways of being and healing with the prioritization of individualization, medicalization and assimilation that create exclusion and active harm to many communities. It is an ongoing practice and responsibility for me to divest from oppressive practices.
