About My Clients
I do my best work with sufferers of complex trauma (C-PTSD) from all backgrounds, who do not see results from talk therapy alone. Many of my clients are neurodivergent (ADHD/Autism), experience chronic illness, and carry intergenerational/ancestral trauma. I also work heavily with survivors of child sexual abuse and trafficking. I’m interested in learning your story without judgement and helping you heal, mind, body, spirit, using evidenced-based, neurobiology-focused methods.
My Background and Approach
Between pre and post licensure experience, I have been working in the field of mental health since 2021 in a wide range of areas including forensics, addiction treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, and in private practice. I have experience with some of the most severe cases of mental illness and trauma, as well substantial practice experience working with inter-relational attachment traumas (relationship trauma) that show up in every demographic. As part of our work, I love teaching my clients the neurobiology I was taught in grad school using accessible language anyone can understand. I don’t believe in gate-keeping knowledge, and over the years, I’ve found that clients in all practice environments benefit from understanding how their bodies and brains influence their thoughts and feelings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the LGBT community and a descendent of immigrants fleeing violence in the old country, being a safe place for members of marginalized communities is critical to my personal and professional life. I am a former street medic who has taken part in non-violent protests since 2010, advocating for immigrants, LGBT folks, and racial minority rights. I am also vegan (or nearly, I still eat honey), and I care a lot about animals and the environment, but I do not judge others in their personal dietary choices, especially in economically difficult times.
