About My Clients
My ideal client is committed to exploring their potential for change and growth in a supportive and collaborative environment. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, co-occurring disorders, and work young adults experiencing stress around life transitions. I treat couples, and have worked with couples affected by addiction in their relationship. I have experience as a crisis and trauma counselor, particularly with people affected by sexual assault.
My Background and Approach
I have experience in many areas of treatment. I began my career in addiction counseling for individuals and groups. I am experienced in crisis counseling for individuals affected by sexual assault. I am passionate about activism and have worked in forensic roles adjacent to the court system to ensure my clients receive the compassion, respect, and treatment they deserve and divert all unnecessary involvement from court system. I have experience with trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and overall life transitions and challenges. I often use DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) in my practice to help you set and achieve solid goals for emotional wellness. In our first session, I will take time to explain how DBT/CBT might benefit you and answer any questions you have. In addition, I like to utilize a Humanistic approach; in other words, empathic, supportive conversation to explore who you are & who you want to be.
