As part of my integrative approach, I frequently use a combination of therapies to treat PTSD. I create a supportive atmosphere which helps to promote reflectiveness, deepens self-awareness, and increases insight into the problem. I use my extensive training and years of experience, including EMDR, to help people overcome the condition in whatever way will work best for them.

I realize it can be very difficult to open up to someone new about such a sensitive event in your life, but I promise to be non-judgmental and welcoming in my approach with you. During sexual abuse counselling, it’s not uncommon for survivors of sexual abuse to take longer to feel comfortable with their therapist or to open up about their experience, and that is okay! I want to come alongside you at your own pace while gently helping you reach your goals.

As a certified sex therapist, I work with sexual disorder and trauma. I offer a holistic, existential model which incorporates artistic, verbal, and body-centered therapy. I operate from a transpersonal, person-centered standpoint, which considers each person in their mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional entirety in order to help you reach your sexual goals.

Humanistic therapy adopts a holistic approach that focuses on free will, human potential, and self-discovery. It aims to help you develop a strong and healthy sense of self, explore your feelings, find meaning, and focus on your strengths.

CBT treatment usually involves efforts to change thinking patterns. These strategies might include: Learning to recognize one's distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality. Gaining a better understanding of the behavior and motivation of others.

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a mental health treatment technique. This method involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories. EMDR's goal is to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.
