My Background and Approach
I am passionate about empowering people of the global majority and those who struggle to find their place in the world we live in. Bearing witness to your story and walking alongside you in your healing is a deep honor I do not take lightly. I believe you are the expert on your own life and I am here to ensure you feel respected, heard, and genuinely seen. My approach is collaborative and deeply relational, always tailored to you. As a creative arts therapist, art and play are available for processing what words cannot always reach. It is about the process of making art and not the product that heals, and no art skills or experience are ever required. I show up with curiosity, genuine care, and a deep commitment to helping you reach your goals and become who you want to be. I believe community, connection, and belonging are radical acts of resistance. Choosing to heal is one of the most courageous things a person can do.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer, neurodivergent, Latina therapist and I bring all of who I am into this work. My identity is not separate from my practice, it is woven into every session, every connection, and every decision I make about how I show up for the people I work with. So much of our suffering is rooted in systems and cultural conditioning that were never designed for all of us to thrive. Decolonial practice is central to my work because we cannot fully heal without examining the systems that shaped us and reconnecting to our ancestral wisdom and strength. I am a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ+ community including transgender and gender non-binary individuals, and those in non-traditional relationship structures including polyamorous and non-monogamous partnerships. I believe love in all its forms is sacred. For clients open to it, I incorporate astrology, tarot, and mindfulness as tools for self-insight, pattern recognition, and connecting to ancestral wisdom.
