About My Clients
Many of us have experienced internal conflict in knowing "Who am I?". It can sometimes be challenging to make positive change in ourselves and our relationships, particularly when we are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and more. You deserve to feel understood. I work with clients of all walks of life and aim to get to know you and help you connect with your internal sense of safety and acceptance.
My Background and Approach
My approach is focused on you and your readiness. You know yourself better than anyone else. I will offer my insights, reframing, coping and mindfulness skills, communication practices, and some challenging, but I will welcome the parts of you that may be hesitant and will help to regulate and slow the parts that may create urgency and anxiety. I prioritize an internal sense of safety, reconnecting with your internal and external experiences, and "feeling your feelings" (which tends to be more challenging than it may sound). We will take our time to explore what is important to you, such as your values, and learn to shape your experiences to create more confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you have made it here for a reason. The parts of you that have adapted to negative and positive experiences have served a purpose to keep you going, but some of those parts host extreme fear and discomfort that we may be ready to release. In my personal life, I aim to learn more about others and support the environment and march alongside those who support equality and diversity. I recognize that there is still much to be done to remove barriers to access for mental health services and if you are someone who has had to fight to get here, I am proud of you and commend you for your persistence. I aim to be transparent and believe the connection you have with your therapist as a human being is what drives progress in therapy. I will do my best to answer questions you may have about me in order to ensure you feel safe and confident with your choice.
