About My Clients

If you are being completely honest with yourself, are you happy with your life? That question can bring up a lot of thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. You may be struggling with trauma, mood changes, anxiety, OCD, body image, substance use, relationships, ADHD, or harmful behaviors. The good news is you do not have to face these challenges alone. I can help you process what you are experiencing and develop healthier, more effective coping and communication skills.

My Background and Approach

I have experience working in residential treatment, equine therapy, teletherapy, private practice, and school counseling. Currently I provide in-person and teletherapy through Mend Counseling Wednesdays through Fridays, and I offer teletherapy through Tava Health on Tuesdays. For in-person clients, I offer hiking sessions, rock-climbing sessions, vibroacoustic therapy, and somatic processing. I incorporate several evidence-based modalities into therapy, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, and mindfulness. These can help with changing unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns; improving emotion regulation, impulse control, and interpersonal effectiveness; processing trauma; and developing healthier relationships. I can help clients identify and work towards goals that are meaningful to them by offering compassion, education, and evidence-based treatment.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Every person is different, and therapy should be targeted to meet each person's unique needs. My social work education taught me to consider how a person's environment and intersectional identities of ethnicity, gender, race, socioeconomic status, spirituality, and sexuality shape their experience of the world. I am committed to offering a nonjudgmental, supportive environment for diverse individuals. In my free time, I love rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter twice a week.
