About My Clients
I support teens and adults struggling with anxiety, body image, depression, and life changes to build insight and empowerment, develop acceptance/motivation for change, and establish practical ways to cope with stress. My clients often to come from a variety of marginalized communities: LGBTQIIA+, BIPOC, Latinx/Latine, Bi/multi-racial, Fat, (diagnosed/suspected) neuroatypical/neurodivergent, kinky, polyam/ENM, people who use alcohol/drugs, performers/creatives, brujas/brujxs and witchy folk.
My Background and Approach
My warmth, understanding, and openness help clients feel safe exploring difficult topics. My alchemy blends the creative arts, mindfulness, a radical liberation mindset, embodied techniques, lived experience, and traditional talk therapy to help clients transform their struggle into success and hurt into healing. I have specialized training in Drama Therapy, Trauma Informed Systems, and Harm Reduction, elements of which are woven through my work. Whether you are experiencing a challenge or you are interested in finding more balance in your life, I am here to support you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the power of expressing our emotions, being aware of our beliefs, and investigating our limiting thoughts can unlock paths we previously dreamed of. By combining practical approaches, empirical research, and logic with the magic of the arts, integration of play, and accessing the mind/body connection we can explore practices and mindsets to help you reach your goals. My approach is informed by harm reduction, radical justice, anti-colonial/white supremacy, fat Liberation, queer/kink/polyam/SW, and feminist/non-binary theories/models.
