Your world has been turned upside down. It just does not seem to be getting better. You feel stuck in a bottomless pit that you just cannot climb out of, while everyone else is moving on with life. You feel misunderstood in your grief. Sometimes, it even hurts to breathe. You just want to feel normal again. While the life you once knew is gone, in our work together, you can improve coping skills and reduce feelings of blame and guilt. You can feel again.
My Background and Approach
I have been in the mental health field for over 24 years in a variety of clinical settings, including psychiatrist office, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, provided outpatient therapy for children in the foster care system. I offer a personalized and holistic approach to therapy. I believe each person already has the answers that they are looking for within themselves. It is my role to help find those answers in healthy ways. I offer a safe space to process and talk through all of those messy, painful, uncomfortable feelings that grief and loss bring up. For the past several years, I have focused my work in the area of grief and loss. I am a Certified Grief Educator, training under world renowned grief expert and author, David Kessler. We will address and process your unique experience with grief and loss. You can gain hope and acceptance of this new life you did not want or ask to have.
