About My Clients
I work with children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulty with emotion regulation, whether that presents as defiance, anxiety or depression. I also partner with parents to increase attachment and confidence in parenting skills. Many of the children and families with whom I work are neurodiverse and may have a diagnosis of ASD or ADHD.
My Background and Approach
In my 15 plus years in the field, I have worked with many families experiencing neurodivergence, developmental delays, sensory differences, divorce, foster care, and just the regular everyday challenges of raising good humans. Just as parents are at the center of a child’s world, parents are at the center of my practice. By partnering with parents, I help promote positive family dynamics whether you are feeling challenged by emotion regulation, separation anxiety, cooperation, play skills, or disruptive sleep patterns.I offer tailored, evidence-based support through modalities such as Parent Management Training (PMT), Circle of Security, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I want all of my clients to leave our sessions with a feeling of hope, as well as individualized ideas to nurture a child's growth and development, as well as a parent's confidence in your their own skills.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, I hold dear the value of recognizing the central importance of human relationships, fostering connections that improve the well-being of individuals and communities. I am also committed to providing services to one of our most vulnerable populations - children.
