About My Clients
I enjoy working with adults, couples, teens, and families wanting support with depression, anxiety, relationship or family conflict, healing past trauma, ADHD, autism, navigating identity or life changes. I am experienced and passionate about working with youth & adult clients who may identify neurodivergent, Latino/x/e, Black, immigrant, queer, and transgender. I love working with adults & couples regarding sex after SA/DV, navigating ENM/polyamory, queerness & cultural differences.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is relational, feminist, narrative, and can integrate somatic and culturally specific support. I want to create a space of trust, connection, and empowerment for my clients. We will work together to unravel where you are from, where you are now, and where you would like to be. We can explore how your body holds and carries your stress and trauma. We can be creative and integrate connections to your culture, heritage, or spirituality into your mental health support. I have years of experience as a youth mentor and housing case manager. I am equipped in providing trauma-informed care from my experiences as a fierce advocate working for survivors of domestic violence, poverty, homelessness, foster care, incarceration, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia. I also have experience teaching conflict resolution skills and harm reduction skills, which I bring into all my clinical work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We live in a world where identities hold weight and matter - it affects how we think of ourselves, how we navigate the world, and how we are perceived by others. I identify as white, Latina, queer, neurodivergent, and polyamorous. I consider myself a spiritual person by connecting with nature, ancestors, animals, loved ones, and my own inner world. I am experienced and passionate about working with clients who may identify neurodivergent, Latino/x/e, Black, immigrant, queer, and transgender. As a therapist and ally, I am committed to continuing my education and self-reflective practices while working with marginalized communities.
