I have extensive experience working with the LGBT community. Challenges for LGBT individuals & families can be far reaching, and it is my goal to allow space to explore and manage these. I also have a colorful history within the world of the performing arts. I know first-hand of the unique demands, and make myself available for an understanding perspective.
My Background and Approach
I have extensive training and experience in systemic family therapy. This means that I am able to treat not only the individual, but also the entire family of origin, where appropriate and when helpful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Working with the LGBTQ community is a specific passion of mine. Knowing first hand how challenging it was to connect with a professional who had experience and knowledge of the challenges associated with being LGBTQ and/or in a same-sex relationship was my catalyst for entering the field and I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in the community.
