About My Clients
I specialize in working with children and families facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, and family conflict. My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I empower families to build resilience, improve communication, and find healing through personalized support tailored to their unique needs. Together, we can work towards lasting positive change.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive experience in mental health therapy, school social work, and community services. I hold an MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill, with a concentration in Community Management, Policy, and Practice. My work spans diverse settings, including schools, counseling centers, and hospitals, where I've provided therapy, crisis intervention, and community resource support for children, adolescents, and families. With a deep understanding of trauma, grief, anxiety, and behavioral health, I specialize in providing individualized care to help families overcome challenges like communication issues, mental health struggles, and life transitions. My approach blends evidence-based therapies with a focus on building trust and fostering a safe, healing environment. Whether through counseling, support in crisis, or collaborating with community resources and community partners, I’m here to support your family’s journey toward emotional well-being and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of healing through connection, compassion, and understanding. As a clinician, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive space for all individuals, regardless of race, background, or identity. I value the importance of cultural humility and strive to support diverse communities, especially those who have faced systemic challenges. I am passionate about advocating for children, families, and mental health awareness, and I am dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health care. Outside of my practice, I support initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and education, and I believe in the transformative potential of community-driven change.
