About My Clients
I specialize in supporting adults with ADHD, particularly those who were diagnosed later in life. My practice also focuses on anxiety, life transitions, trauma recovery, and the unique challenges faced by military families. In our work together, we will identify your strengths and develop practical strategies so you can manage challenges, build confidence, and thrive in your daily life.
My Background and Approach
I view therapy as a collaborative process where your goals, experiences, and values guide the work we do together. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I integrate several evidence-based modalities depending on what will best support you, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, relational and interpersonal approaches, strength-based interventions, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). All of my work is grounded in trauma-informed care. I see therapy as an active and meaningful investment in yourself. Our sessions are intentional and engaging. I ask thoughtful questions that may challenge your usual thinking patterns and invite you to look at your beliefs from new perspectives. While your experiences guide our conversations, I don’t take a passive role in the process. Your time is valuable, and therapy should feel purposeful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist with lived experience of ADHD, I have both professional training and personal understanding in my work with neurodivergent adults. I know that ADHD is not about "trying harder" or forcing yourself to focus. Instead, ADHD reflects a different way of thinking, processing information, and interacting with the world. My approach is strengths-based and neurodivergent affirming. Together, we will explore how your brain works, identify your strengths, and develop strategies to help you navigate a world designed for neurotypical minds. My goal is to help those with ADHD, especially those diagnosed later in life, reduce shame and thrive in their environments.
