About My Clients

Do you feel like you are not at home in your own life? Maybe anxiety or depression has been a part of your journey and you are wrestling with questions of meaning and purpose. Perhaps there's been a transition or grief that you are processing. You desire to connect more with yourself and others but there's a block. Let me help! My unique background as a therapist and chaplain paired with your curiosity and insight will pave the way to healing and growth!

My Background and Approach

If you are experiencing grief, trauma, depression, or other mental health challenges, I’m here to help. I believe in taking a holistic approach both in why you feel the way you do and how to get better. I am passionate about helping you find hope, purpose and meaning in the midst of whatever you are going through. Before my experience as a therapist, I served over a decade as a chaplain in the US Air Force and worked as a chaplain for Hospice. Meeting people in their suffering is sacred to me. I draw from these experiences to equip me to join you, as you are, where you are at. By walking with people through peaks and valleys, I’ve learned to recognize the incredible ability of individuals to overcome hardship and craft their own stories of hope and meaning. Reach out today, and you can be treated virtually through the convenience of telehealth in ID. Please visit: www.alpenglowmentalwellness.com!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that there is hope and that it is also pretty hard to be human. I don't believe in quick fixes and pat answers. I believe in what the poet, Rilke wrote over 100 years ago when he said: "Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final." I believe that everybody's story is filled with value, wonder and inspiration. I also believe we are part of writing our own narrative. I believe that wrestling for growth in our pain is the hardest thing we can do and the most worthwhile. I believe that ALL are welcome and I welcome YOU wherever you are at. Having lost my wife to cancer and my mom to COVID have made me honestly look at how to reckon with the difficulty of life and still feel affirmed that there is meaning and hope. I also know that we can't do it alone and we need each other and that courage is required when we feel stuck. I deeply want you to look back at where you are right now one day and feel so grateful you reached out.
