About My Clients
All my clients hold deep wisdom; my goal is to help you listen to your inner knowing. Many folks come to therapy to work on or explore anxiety, traumatic experiences, ethical non-monogamy, life transitions, boundaries and communication, sexual and gender identity, internalized queerphobia/transphobia, and sexual concerns in relationships.
My Background and Approach
Our work together is first and foremost collaborative. Iām here to provide a supportive space for you to express, feel, and process at a pace that feels right for you while also helping you find tools that bring you closer to the life you want to live. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and somatic techniques, to support your personal exploration and healing journey. I believe in the innate wisdom of all my clients and strive to create a space to practice listening to and voicing that wisdom ā both mind and body. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and am a registered associate in the state of Oregon and California. I also hold my 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training certificate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do this work because I believe in the power of healing through vulnerability and connection ā allowing ourselves to be genuinely seen instead of hiding the parts that feel unworthy or shameful. For many of us, trauma and other challenging life experiences have made vulnerability and connection understandably difficult. Therapy is an invitation for all your parts to be seen, honored, and listened to ā to begin healing in a supportive, therapeutic relationship, which models the kind of relationships you deserve to build in your daily life. As a queer person, I am especially passionate about supporting queer and trans clients in building the lives and relationships they want to have. In addition to seeing individuals and couples, I also offer a sliding scale weekly Queer & Trans Sexual Trauma Support Group.
