About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and families navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, behavioral concerns, trauma, and life transitions. My clients often include students, adolescents adjusting to change, and families seeking practical tools and support. I partner closely with caregivers to help young people build coping skills, confidence, and emotional resilience in a safe, supportive space.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families across school-based, outpatient, and telehealth settings. I have provided hundreds of therapy sessions supporting youth with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, behavioral concerns, trauma-related stress, and family transitions. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I tailor treatment to each child’s developmental level and individual needs, helping clients build practical coping skills they can use in daily life. I believe therapy is most effective when caregivers are involved, so I partner closely with parents and families to support progress outside of sessions. I prioritize a safe, culturally responsive, and supportive environment where children and teens feel understood, empowered, and confident in their growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe children and teens deserve to be seen, heard, and supported; especially when their struggles are quiet or misunderstood. Growing up, I experienced social anxiety that went unrecognized for many years and was often labeled as “shy.” It wasn’t until my early twenties that I received support and fully understood the challenges I had been facing; the desire to connect with others paired with the feeling that I couldn’t. This experience strongly shapes my work as a therapist. I am deeply committed to noticing what may be overlooked and helping young people put words to feelings that are hard to express. I also believe in partnering with parents and caregivers, recognizing that even the most loving and attentive families can miss subtle signs of distress. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where children and teens feel understood and where families feel guided, not judged.
