About My Clients
We might be a good fit for each other if: ○ You're wanting to explore your sexual or gender identity ○ You're exploring consensual non-monogamy or are in a relationship structure minority ○ You want to build a deeper relationship with self ○ You want to sit with someone who shares a queer identity and understands the unique stressors our lived experiences come with ○ You want to explore creative or somatic coping resources to add to your toolbox
My Background and Approach
I identify as a queer, Puerto Rican/Latinx woman. I am part of the team at the The Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy which is dedicated to providing culturally-responsive and culturally-affirming psychotherapy and psychological assessments. Sometimes we just need to be heard. My passion lies in sitting with you through your current challenges, centering your lived experiences, and building your toolbox for honoring and moving through your emotions. You deserve kindness, warmth, and a loving relationship with yourself. As a counselor, I acknowledge the way we learn to navigate the world is impacted by the systems we live in and endure, the messaging we receive, and the unique identities we hold and find ourselves growing into. Together we can create what therapy looks like for you; time to pour into yourself and explore what could be. I am open, fluid, flexible, and radically transparent in my work, as I understand your trust is something to be earned.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You are the expert of your lived experiences and intuition. Ethical counseling is non-pathological and radically accepting. My role as your counselor is a tool for insight and information, facilitator of reflection, self-validation, self-affirmation, and untangling what you were taught is yours and what you choose to keep or release. I also have lived experience with kink, non-monogamy, and alternative spiritualities!
