About My Clients
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in survival mode—overthinking, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves and others. I work best with individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, and complex trauma, including those exploring identity and belonging. My clients are often seeking safety, grounding, and a deeper sense of self-trust after years of carrying too much on their own.
My Background and Approach
The tools we’ll use in therapy are trauma-informed and tailor to your specific needs. My goal is for you to leave therapy with practical skills you can rely on to manage triggers, regulate emotions, and feel more grounded in your daily life. These tools are designed to be accessible and supportive, helping you create moments of safety and relief when you need them most. I take a collaborative and paced approach, focusing first on what feels most present and impactful for you right now. Together, we’ll work to understand how trauma shows up in your body and mind, and gently build strategies to support your nervous system. Over time, we’ll work toward greater emotional resilience, self-trust, and a sense of control, so healing feels sustainable rather than overwhelming.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is possible at any stage of life and that people already hold the capacity for growth and resilience within them. Many of the challenges we face are adaptive responses to our experiences, especially in the context of trauma, and deserve understanding rather than judgment. I value safety, compassion, and collaboration in both therapy and life. As a mixed-race Filipino and Black therapist, I believe in the importance of culturally responsive and identity-affirming care, and I strive to create a space where all parts of you are welcome. I support equity, inclusion, and the LGBTQ+ community, and I am committed to practicing therapy that honors dignity, autonomy, and lived experience.
