About My Clients
My clients are people seeking to improve their relationships, balance their work, family and other areas of their personal lives. They are actively working to overcome depressive and anxiety issues, or cope with grief and loss. I also work well with clients who often worry, struggling with self identity and find themselves in a rut of self-critical or negative thinking patterns.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed Psychotherapist practicing in NYC. I attended the Columbia University School of Social Work Clinical program with a focus in Child and Adult Psychopathology. My private practice is located in the Downtown Brooklyn Heights area. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients representing a wide array of cultural, socioeconomic, age, sex/gender and racial identifications. I provide individual psychotherapy to adults, couples and teenagers who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, self-doubt, or un-certainty about where they are in life. I have a strong focus on targeting negative thinking patterns and unhealthy behaviors. I will always listen to you with out judgement and support you with a warm and attentive presence. My therapeutic approach is Person Centered, drawing from Psychodynamic, Mindfulness Based - Cognitive Behavioral and Whole Person Systems Perspectives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone who has experienced their own share of life crisis; I know firsthand the need to find a therapist who is skilled and understands my very real inner struggles. I believe that every individual deserves to work with someone who they can be themselves with and not have to worry about how their thoughts and emotions are perceived. Although our lives maybe different, know that I have been where you are and I will walk this healing journey with you. Together, there will never be judgement; only empathy, compassion and support.
