About My Clients
My ideal clients are those who are facing relationship and/or sexual and sexuality dilemmas. Often, they struggle to find access to a service provider that can empathize with their lived experiences and who they can trust. I'm able to support LGBTQ people, women, disabled folks, and people of color, among other marginalized communities by providing a culturally affirming and empathetic space. Individuals I work with are looking to achieve healthy intimacy through compassion and self-acceptance.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in emotionally focused therapy and see relationship dilemmas through the lens of attachment theory. Too often, we have relationship or sexual dilemmas because we are reactionary. I work with clients to identify and process the primary emotions that drive their feelings, actions, and tensions. From here, clients are empowered to live proactively. I pride myself on providing a space free of shame, guilt, and judgement as I understand these next few steps may bring feelings of vulnerability. It would be an honor to join you on your journey.
