About My Clients

Are intense emotions making it hard to stay grounded or connected—to others or to yourself? Whether it’s anxiety, anger, jealousy, depression, or emotional sensitivity, you may feel stuck in patterns that hurt your relationships or your sense of self. You might struggle to cope without shutting down, lashing out, or using substances. I help teens and adults manage big emotions, build self-awareness, and create space for healing.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in working with individuals with serious mental illness, mood disorders, substance use, BPD, relationship stress, and self-esteem. My approach is eclectic, but I often draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide clients with concrete practical skills to manage intense emotions and improve daily functioning. In our work together, we’ll clarify what brought you to therapy and set goals that feel meaningful and achievable. I help clients recognize how family dynamics, trauma, substance use, and emotional instability may be impacting their lives, and support them in breaking out of harmful patterns. My aim is to help you manage overwhelming emotions, build healthier relationships, and reduce emotional suffering through skillful action.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I also have extensive experience supporting individuals involved in the criminal justice and child welfare systems. I am deeply committed to advocating for clients who are working to heal, regain stability, and move forward. I also find that there is a lack of transparency and communication for those involved in the child welfare system. Attorneys and case managers can be unresponsive to parents, adding additional suffering to the families involved. I help clients understand the child welfare system and communicate to the parties involved to work towards family reunification. I also have extensive experience with suicide prevention and safety planning. If you are struggling with intrusive thoughts, know that help is available. We will work on a safety plan and provide you with resources to care for yourself safely. As a parent, I am also passionate about supporting other parents going through this life transition.
