About My Clients
I am currently accepting new clients! I work with children, teens, and adults. I offer virtual and in-person appointments (for folks in the Kansas City area), including home and community based sessions. Many of the folks I work with have neurodevelopmental conditions (ex. ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder) and concurrent symptoms of anxiety, OCD and/or depression. I am trained in treating co-occurring disorders (ex. OCD and PTSD), alleviating the burden of having to find multiple providers.
My Background and Approach
I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Kansas City VA Medical Center, where I provided evidence-based treatments for anxiety, PTSD, depression, chronic pain, substance use disorders, and insomnia in outpatient and home-based settings. Additionally, I received extensive training in conducting psychological assessments. Following internship, I completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Kansas City Center for Anxiety Treatment (KCCAT) specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety related disorders. I provide evaluations for autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and psychological concerns, as well as evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety disorders, and related concerns. I am fully licensed in Missouri and Kansas and authorized to practice telepsychology under PSYPACT in 40+ states.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I serve as a board member for the Queer Affirming Therapist Guild of Kansas City. My research interests have centered on the lived experiences of bisexual and multiracial community members.
