About My Clients

Are you struggling with thoughts of “not being good enough,” anxiety about where you “should be,” or feeling hopeless, as if you’re letting loved ones down despite your accomplishments? These are all common thoughts and feelings in the Asian American community, where cultural pressures often make seeking support hard. I get where you're coming from and strive to provide an inclusive, affirming space rooted in cultural humility to listen, respect your experiences, and address your life challenges

My Background and Approach

As a licensed therapist with 5 years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, I strive to utilize culture as a means to connect and better understand my clients. In addition to my cultural approach, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice. CBT focuses on how our thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected—when one changes, the others follow. This evidence-based approach is highly effective in fostering meaningful, lasting change. I’ve utilized CBT to help my Asian American clients reframe their thoughts, reduce stress, anxiety, and burnout, and develop healthy coping skills to tackle life's challenges. After all, we spend the most time with ourselves; imagine how much better it could be if our inner dialogue was kinder.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am deeply passionate about supporting minority populations, with a special focus on the Asian American community. Historically, as minorities, we’ve often had to adapt to spaces given to us, rather than creating spaces we can truly call our own. In my work as a therapist, my goal is to provide that space—a space where you can feel seen, heard, and valued. I bring compassion, empathy, a listening ear, and whatever else you need to feel supported. All I ask is that you come as your authentic self, ready to learn and overcome. I say this not just as a therapist, but as someone who understands what it feels like to be “unseen” or ashamed of one’s own culture for not “fitting in.” My aim is to help you navigate your worries with compassion, while honoring the unique beauty that makes you who you are. Together, we’ll work to foster self-love and help you embrace the love you’ve always deserved.
